Howdy Fellow Altonians (?)
As we approach the “busy” season and the wind calms down a little - hopefully - here in our own piece of paradise, I would like to remind you that fire season is NOT over by a long shot, and everyone’s vigilance is still required!
To that end, please be aware that the Lincoln National Forest is CLOSED to all activities until July 30th, unless the order is rescinded earlier. Details are available here… https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/lincoln/news-events/?cid=FSEPRD1026537
The ALPOA, Inc. Annual Membership Meeting will be held Tuesday, June 7th in the Pavilion with complimentary beer/wine beginning at 4pm; the meeting will start at 4:30pm. Come and meet your ALPOA, Inc. board members! There will be a panel discussion with local leaders and service directors to include the Sheriff, Roads, Emergency Services, and Emergency Medical Services, in addition to information and a signup for CPR classes to be held at ALG&CC!
By the time you read this, the ALPOA, Inc sponsored Burgers, Brats & Bingo Scholarship Fundraiser will be history, and THAT fun will be over! However, ALPOA, Inc. has more fun planned with our murder mystery dinner theatre presentation of “Lights Out in Lonesome Gulch (scroll to the bottom for poster)” on Tuesday, June 21st AND Wednesday, June 22nd, with a different murder conclusion each night (so the Wednesday crowd won’t know the ending for their presentation). Please make a note that our next Neighborhood Clean-up/Box Lunch Picnic has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 20, 2022! You don’t even have to be an ALPOA member to join the fun!
If you would like to join in on all the ALPOA, Inc FUN, you can fill out a form in the Club office or contact the office at 575-336-4231.
