Showing Off Our Outlaw Courts
Our Outlaw courts are simply beautiful and exceptional quality. We have eight courts. The surface is designed to dry quickly. The nets are official pickleball nets, sturdy and permanent. There’s extra space between adjacent courts. To the west is an amazing view of Sierra Blanca. To the west of the courts is our Outlaw Clubhouse, where players can catch a quick bite with friends.
Our New Outlaw Pavilion
The new pavilion is taking shape and should be ready for our busy summer season. It will be complete with
restrooms, storage and a covered patio. Other plans for the courts include permanent shade structures and new furniture.
Notable ALPA Pickleball People
January 2024 - John Castruccio
In 1994, John Castruccio and his sweet wife, Sheri, decided to retire to the Ruidoso area. They were new to snow skiing and became infatuated with the sport. They bought a place within ALGCC, providing them their winter skiing, summer golf, and a base while they worked on construction of their retirement home on Ft. Stanton Rd. Both John and Sheri were on the National Ski Patrol at Ski Apache for over 20 years. They have four children and eight grandchildren, all of whom just helped John and Sheri celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary!
About twelve years ago, John was introduced to pickleball. He fell in love with the sport and would play every day if only the weather would cooperate. John even built a court next to their house!
His craze for pickleball comes from all that the game provides: camaraderie, the euphoria of hitting a good shot, the competitiveness, and the aerobic exercise. John has been a loyal member and friend to ALPA, giving his time and talent to help improve the courts, by serving on the ALPA board, training new players, and so much more. Thanks, John, for all you do!
