The year continues to fly by! November brought another pretty decent month for golf, although we also got our first taste of some snow; first one of the Fall. It was a very wet snow, which always bodes well for our turf conditions.
KOKOPELLI: Kokopelli continues to be popular, and the Golf Shop is now open! We are continuing to work on the merchandising, and hunting out fixtures for the 2024 season. This will continue to be a soft opening as we get everything together. We are pleased with the progress so far, and look to add to the project as the months evolve. We appreciate your patience with this project!
KIRK TAYLOR UPDATE: As most of you know, Kirk Taylor had a major and very extensive heart surgery late last month. We are so pleased to hear that everything went very well for Kirk. A special shout out to all of our members who were able to help Kirk with donations to help him through this difficult time. This membership is truly an amazing FAMILY! We continue to keep Kirk and his family in our thoughts and prayers and look forward to Kirk being back in action for the 2024 season!
TOURNAMENT CALENDAR: As mentioned last month, the tournament calendar will be out very shortly. We are happy to have a good jump on this for 2024 in order to have adequate time to plan and make any adjustments as Winter descends. We look forward to another great season of tournaments! The tournament calendar should be on the club website soon, as well as in other correspondence.
HOLE-IN-ONE REPORT: We have just one hole-in-one to report for November. On November 4th, Linda
McKinley aced the 11th hole at Alto from 138 yards with a 5 hybrid. This brings her career HIO total to two. She was witnessed by Marty Disanto, Jane Hoover, and Judy Walsh; great shot, Linda!
Are you in the Hole-in-One Club? If you are interested, please see the form on the club website to download, fill out, and submit. The program costs $5 per person and reloads each time a Hole-in-One participant makes a hole-in-one. Each Golf Shop has a simple form to fill out should you have one. Inquire at each Golf Shop for the form.
We’re glad you’re here!
Sincerely,
John Rogers, PGA
