September 2022

Fall is approaching! Cooler mornings are definitely evident as we reach September. It was great to get all of that August rain as grass is growing at a fast pace! Our courses are looking spectacular as a result. September brings us one of our busiest tournament months of the year. We will kick things off with the AMGA Lonesome Pine on 9/6-9/8. We will have 80-90 teams this year, with the format being Shamble/Scramble/Best Ball; both courses will be used. We also have our first annual Couples’ Member-Guest tournament, which is named PARTY OF FORE! This will occur on 9/21-9/22, and the format is an aggregate team quota. The field will play both courses. In addition to these two events, we have several play days and various member tournaments to fill many of the days.

Time sure flies! Here we are in August with another busy month ahead. We’ve had a great string of events in July and many more to come. Rain has blessed our courses and conditions have showed. As always, we have some areas on the courses that are still recovering from Spring drought. Even though the tee box project is behind schedule, the progress and future looks great. Hopefully we will be playing on them soon; this project was very much needed! Read on for more August Golf News.
