May 2024

May has arrived, and so has our golf season.  This month we have many events planned.  Founder’s Day is on Wednesday, May 15, at 8:00 am at Alto.   Sign up by calling the Golf Shop at 575-336-4232 or thru Golf Genius, two weeks prior to play.  The deadline to sign up will be Monday, May 13, and the ALGA will be picking up the tab for lunch that day.  In addition to Founders Day on May 15, we will be hosting “Meet the Candidates” for those who are running for the Alto Board.  If you have any questions that you would like to be asked, please email them to me.  Our first general meeting will follow Meet the Candidates; busy day, but we are all ready to see each other and get this party
started.

April 2024

Spring is in the air.  Our weather has been like a roller coaster lately, but hopefully we are putting winter in our rearview mirror.  The ALGA will have an unofficial play day on Wednesday, April 3; we have secured five tee times starting at 9:00 am.  The deadline for sign-up is Monday, April 1. Call the Golf Shop to add your name, and we will be doing the pairings on Tuesday and sending out an email to those who are playing.  There will be another unofficial play day on Wednesday, April 17.  The tee times for that play day will be secured two weeks in advance of the play day, and I will email the membership once the times have been secured.

March 2024

The first couple of months this year have gone very fast.  We have been able to play some golf, and also had some good moisture for our golf courses. We have had several planning meetings during this time to plan for our 2024 golf season.  Laureen Zelt and Paula Sommers have lots of ideas to make your tournaments extra special.

February 2024

As we move into February, the ALGA continues to plan for our upcoming year.

Golf season is just around the corner.  There are no official play days in April, but a group of us will make tee times to play on April 3 at Alto, and April 17 at Outlaw.  The tee times will be secured two weeks in advance and we will notify you of tee times that are available.  Our first official event will be a joint event May 1 with the AMGA and AL9GA.  It will be a step-aside scramble.  This was a very popular event last year, and we expect more participation this year.

January 2024

Happy New Year to All!  The ALGA finished 2023 with a bang.  We held our annual Christmas Brunch and co-hosted with the ALGA9.  We raised $4,965 for Santa’s Helper’s and took two truckloads of toys to their headquarters.
