Greetings! April gave us our green golf courses back. But of course, it also brought our spring winds! Winds that caused a scary fire in our community. In these situations, we learn that it happens and works quickly. Aside from some damaged trees, Alto’s property was pretty much unscathed from the fire. However, some of our Alto family was affected by losing their homes and/or belongings during this tragedy. Sometimes prayer is all we have in these cases. We pray for all of those who were affected by the fire and hope that these never break out. Beware, be FireWise!
 
Tournament play began in April! We did have a few of those days disrupted by the fire and wind. April is always a windy month, but we are managing.
 
TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION:
PLEASE READ!
As mentioned, we are now using Golf Genius for tournament registration. All associations have received an instruction letter with a link to use to register for these events. The links are specific to each association (ALGA, AL9GA, AMGA, and COUPLES GOLF). Once you click the link, you will be directed to the respective association portal. From there, the schedule of play days is on the left-hand side. The drop-down has the entire current rosters of the associations. If your name is not listed in the drop-down, it means that you are not currently a member of that association. If that is the case, visit the Golf Shop to join that association and we will get you on that roster.
 
PLEASE NOTE: All non-play days are listed under the tab “2022 Majors.”  Click the tab to see the list and you can sign up for those as well. If an event is not available for registration, it simply means that it is not open yet for signups. Here are the respective links for tournament signup/registration.

For Mixed Couples:
Do not sign up as a single player. 
Once you sign up, then select “add another member.”  This will let us know the team ID of the couple.  If the webpage asks you to sign in, simply use the GGID at the end of each respective link.
 
VERY IMPORTANT: As you know, we are playing from temporary tees on the Front Nine.  This project will likely be ongoing through June.  All players MUST post their scores as they would normally.  There is no limit to the number of holes played from temporary tees that prevents scores from being posted, per USGA Handicapping 5-2G.
