ALTO RANGE USE:
Our apologies for the recent closures with the Alto practice range. If you are not aware, this area is quite the challenge for us to keep up with. The obvious problem is that the area is simply not big enough; that’s why we must limit the club use for safety. In addition, the front hill and the sides get congested with errant shots and we sometimes never see those balls again. The landing area is rutted and the picker is mediocre at best for being able to pick up the balls. The front hill and sides must be hand-picked. Lastly, add some rain. When that happens, the majority of the balls hit plug in the ground. The bottom line is this results in many human resources to keep up with. We are doing the best we can to keep up with the demand, which is quite a bit. We need your help in understanding what we must do to keep up with the demand, which requires closing it and hand-picking it. One thing that you can be mindful of when hitting ball. WHEN YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RANGE PLEASE DON’T AIM FOR THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT!!! AIM LEFT!
We understand errant shots are a fact of life but please pay attention to where you are aiming so we can better retrieve those balls. Again, all of these factors work into the equation to cause us to close it. We will always close for an hour or two following tournaments. This is when it gets used the most. Sometimes other closures are impromptu; it could be rain, etc. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, but thought this would help explain it so all can understand. The future plans of the Alto range are currently being discussed within the Golf & Greens Commission as we are trying to figure the most efficient way to operate with the current demand.

The program costs $5 per person and reloads each time a Hole-in-One participant makes a hole-in-one. Each golf shop has a simple form to fill out should you have one. Inquire at either golf shop for the form.
