With the 2023 season winding down, now is a good time to think about how to keep your game sharp or improve your game during the winter.
First, you need to sit back and think about what you are pretty confident with in your golf game, and, more importantly, what you know needs to be changed.
You don't always need to hit balls to get better. Here are a few tips for you to work on while the weather might not be ideal:
- Grip! The absolute most important thing in order to hit a good shot. Make sure that the grip is in your knuckles and not in your palms.
- Backswing! Video yourself or look in a mirror and make sure that your lower body doesn't move much while your upper body makes a turn.
- Footwork! Check your balance on your follow-through. Make sure that your weight finishes on your front heel and NOT your toes. You should be able to make a full-speed swing and not fall off balance.
These are great tips to work on year-round, but especially during the off season. If you have any questions, just call or stop by one of the Golf Shops, and the guys can show you what you should be doing.
