April brings us some warmer weather, so I hope you have been able to get your golf game up and running.
Our hearts and prayers are with the Schwitters family as they have sadly lost Suzie Schwitters, one of our own 9-holer ladies. She was a great friend to many and well loved by her family. She will be missed.
The board met on March 5 to discuss the upcoming season. We are still working on the budget and will be approving it at the April board meeting.
Be sure to mark your calendar for our first social on May 28 at Suanna Tumlinson’s house at 125 Lincoln Hills Dr (Outlaw) at 4:00. If you are an even birth DATE, please bring an appetizer to share. Wine, water, and sodas will be provided. If you have any questions, please call or text Vicky Rollins, our social director, at 901-590-8312.
You have four opportunities to play golf with the AL9GA for the month of May. I hope you can make at least one or two, if not all, of them. The ALGA, the AL9GA, and the AMGA are playing a scramble on Wednesday, May 1, at 8:00am at Alto. If you are interested in playing, please sign up on Golf Genius or call the Golf Shop.
Our first AL9GA playday is Wednesday May 8 at 9:00am at Alto. Please bring $1 and check in between 8:30 – 8:45. You can sign up on Golf Genius or call the Golf Shop. On May 15 & May 22, our playdays are at Kokopelli. Same system – sign up on Golf Genius or call the Golf Shop, bring $1 and check in between 8:30 – 8:45.
On May 29, our playday is our “ACE Day,” and that is the day we stay for lunch. It will be at Alto and if you can stay for lunch we will need to know ahead of time. I will be getting the menu set with Valerie soon and will let you know what food will be served on that day. Mark your calendar – it is always a great social time to connect with each other. Dianna will send out an email as soon as we have all the details.
That about wraps it up. Have a great April and enjoy lots of golf.
