Alto Lakes Pickleball Association (ALPA)

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America!  A combination of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, Pickleball is an excellent source of exercise coupled with enormous fun.  The sport originated in 1965 on Bainbridge Island, where three dads are credited with inventing the sport for their bored children.  Pickleball is played on a badminton-sized court with paddles and a perforated plastic ball, and it is a great for young and old alike!

Everybody is invited to learn the game and join the Alto Lakes Pickleball Association - we welcome you!

We need our friends, we need the exercise, practice and

to get ready for tournaments this season.
We implore you to give us calm days ahead.
Thank you, and Amen! ALPA

March 2023

Has it Been a Long Winter So Far or What?

The weather has been, let's say, rough up here. So many of the ALPA folks who live here or visit during these months have enjoyed playing indoors with the Ruidoso Club. They play most mornings at Horton Gym.  We're always back at Outlaw when the winds are mild and the snow has melted off the courts.

January 2023

ALPA had a very successful Crazy Christmas Party on December 10th! We combined forces with ALTA and had about six courts playing, wearing our Christmas garb.  WE followed that fun with a wonderful party at the Outlaw Clubhouse.  Several door prizes were given out, including two nice, new paddles.  Some of us were a little jealous! Thanks to all the folks who helped us pull this off!  We really appreciate you.
