Architectural Control Commission (ACC)

There shall be an Architectural Control Commission to investigate and make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the enforcement of the architectural control provisions of the respective Restrictive Covenants recorded with respect to each Subdivision which is a part of Alto Lakes Golf & Country Club. ~ALGCC Bylaws

The ACC Policy Guidelines and the Joint Permit Handbook will answer many of your permit application questions! But feel free to call the ACC Administrator at 336-3115 if you have any questions.

The function of the Architectural Control Commission is to maintain the integrity and uniqueness of Alto Lakes as described in the Unified Covenants. The Commission may grant permits, variances, and red flag/stop work on any project, or direct action to be taken by a building inspector in case of a violation, or recommend suspension of membership to the Board of Directors, or file suit for injunction by the Board of Directors and/or the ACC.

The Board of Directors approved a new ACC Policy Guidelines which provides for fines for violations of the covenants. Particular focus is made for addressing dead trees and forest health in Alto.

No permit required to cut down dead trees!

The ACC Administrator is available week days in the Business Office to answer questions and assist members with proper joint permit application paperwork.

ACC Administrator Hours:
8:00am to 4:00pm on Monday
8:00am to 4:30pm on Tuesday through Friday

Meeting Times

The ACC and ALSZD meet every First and Third Thursday of the month at 9:00am in the Spencer and Stag rooms respectively.

COMPLAINTS and COVENANT VIOLATIONS

If you observe work being done on a property that does not conform to Covenants and/or has no visible permit, or behavior in violation of Covenants, you must comply with the following to register a complaint:
  • Come to the Business Office and fill out a complaint form, complete with your name and contact information and the specifics of the complaint.
  • Under no circumstances will complaints be taken over the phone or by email. Without your name and contact information in writing, your complaint will not be processed.
  • Please, do not confront the individual you feel may be in violation. It is Board policy that the identity of an individual filing a complaint will not be disclosed under any circumstances.
  • ACC will determine the validity of the violation, its resolution, and inform the complainant of results.
  • If you observe a crime being committed, CALL 911.
