Greetings:
Time sure flies! Here we are in August with another busy month ahead. We’ve had a great string of events in July and many more to come. Rain has blessed our courses and conditions have showed. As always, we have some areas on the courses that are still recovering from Spring drought. Even though the tee box project is behind schedule, the progress and future looks great. Hopefully we will be playing on them soon; this project was very much needed!
We are very excited for the upcoming Snowcapper golf tournament. We have 120 teams ready to go! As always, this event filled very quickly. A fun week is set for a great social gathering, as well as a little competitive golf! We hope to see you there.
SCORE POSTING!
In an effort to create a fair and equitable playing atmosphere for all of our tournaments and daily games, let’s be sure we are posting ALL of our scores that are eligible to be posted.
2023 FLEET CARS
Alto has decided to transition to lithium fleet cars for 2023. We are making a change from Club Car to Yamaha; Outlaw will be getting 60 new fleet cars by the beginning of the 2nd quarter of 2023. We are very excited about having Yamaha as our new fleet cars, as well as a local service option. We will continue this transition to Alto the following year.
HOLE IN ONE REPORT: Mark Gibson had a hole-in-one on 7/26 at Alto on #3, witnessed by Trent Gibson and Wyatt Burns. His hole in one total is now 2. His grandson, Jimmy Gibson, had a hole-in-one on #16 at Outlaw on 7/17. Jimmy was witnessed by Mark, Dana, and Ron McInturff. Robert Markowitz made his Folds of Honor team proud with a hole-in-one on #17 at Alto. This was Robert’s 6th career hole-in-one. Marie Grubb of the AL9GA got her ace Monday, July 25, on Hole #3, using her gap wedge; witnessing the event were Barbara Williams and Brittney Allen. Lastly, Kelly Hughes aced the 17th hole at Alto on 7/30, raising his hole-in-one total to 5. Great shots to all of you!
Are you in the hole in one club? If you are interested, please contact Charisse Wadsworth at [email protected]. Each golf shop also has a simple form to fill out should you have one.
