Good Things Happening!
Lincoln County Pickleball Challenge:
Our first annual tournament consisted of two days of play, a week apart. Sixteen of our members took on sixteen friends/opponents
from the Ruidoso club. Though Ruidoso took home the trophy this summer, we look forward to bringing it home next year! Thank you
Stephen Morris, ALPA, and Jim Henderson, RPC, for creating a new tradition.
Food Drive: In conjunction with the tournament, the clubs raised $1520 and 200 pounds of canned goods for local foodbanks. Thank
you to both clubs.
Skill Development: ALPA contracted with John Allevi, 5.0 player and teacher, to provide clinics twice during August. Several ALTO members participated. Additionally, Monday drills and lessons, led by stellar ALPA members, have been hugely successful.
